Orlando Taco Week, created by Orlando Weekly, features $5 taco specials at participating restaurants across Central Florida! This year Orlando Taco Week was September 23 through October 7th. I was selected as one of the Orlando Taco Week Ambassadors! I was so excited to cover Orlando Taco Week again and have the opportunity to temporarily takeover the Orlando Weekly Instagram account to showcase my favorite tacos!

My first stop on the Orlando Taco Week tour was at Pig Floyd’s Urban Barbakoa on Mills. The Orlando Taco Week Special included your choice of two tacos for $5. The taco selection included Butter Chicken Taco, La Vaca Tahkaw Taco, Shrimp and Sausage Taco, and a Pork Belly Taco! These tacos were larger than expected, and were a steal! My personal favorite was the Shrimp and Sausage Taco that featured chorizo sausage!

My second stop was at a Milk District favorite, MX Taco! The Orlando Taco Week special included your choice of Taco, and either a side of Esquites or a Margarita! I opted for the Esquites and a Camarón Tikin – Xic Taco! This taco features achiote bitter orange shrimp and pickled onions!

Looking for a non-traditional taco? The Bird Revelation from Orlando Meats kicks it up a notch! This taco features Hot Chicken, Corn Chimichurri, Dukes, and a Corn Tortilla! At two tacos for $5, it’s a steal!

Agave Azul is a locally owned restaurant with multiple locations across Central Florida. Each location is hosting a different special for Orlando Taco Week! I visited the Winter Park location, which featured a ribeye taco filled with guacamole and spring onion.

With so many participating restaurants, it was difficult to decide which locations to visit. All of the tacos I tried were unique and flavorful! I look forward to future Orlando Taco Weeks to indulge in my favorite food group!
